To become a winning manager requires three elements:attitudeskills and character
Attitude is how you feel;Skill is how you do;Character is who you are.
Although successful people are different from each otherthey know three important questions:What kind of person I am;What is my goal?How can I get to it?
1.Attitude:
1.Professionalism:Mastery of fundamentals
Yao Ming is a famous basketball player.Being Big is his advantagebut his skills are gained from practising;If you want to become a successful manageryou will have to be a master of your joban expert of the subjectthe best in the specific
area.I have been doing marketing for 16 years and practised in three different market so I can be an expert in this sector.
Mastery of fundamentals requires sacrificeendless repetition and a constant search for the best way to do things.In a wordyou have to work hard and practise hard.
2.Winning as a way of life:Train to win against benchmarchs
In every category and every countryP&G want to be the winner the bestthe No.1.You have to feel angry and hungry(The lecturer beat his chest) when you are not a winner.

3.Strategic thinking:
objective is where are we going;Strategy is how we can get there.It's very difficult to get sustainable price advantageso some of the manufacturing business choose not to focus on the purchasementbut on everything after you buy the product.
Strategic thinking makes winning manager different from average manager.
4.Personal growth:Work for people who care about your progress
Every successful business careeryou will need a boss who gives you trainingmentoring and caring you when you are young.When entering a new companygraduate students should ask enough questions:Show me my boss?Where does he come from?
Will I get enough training?How many new player do the company recruit every year?How many of them left the company after 1 year/2 year/3 year.
3.Characters:
1.Social intelligence:The ability to be a good listenerto be sensitive towards peopleto give and take criticism well.
You can't be an isolated individualbut to be intouched.What that being NO.1 and aggressive DOES NOT mean not respect with
people.If you treat people badlyyou can't keep them.You have to train yourself like a coach.When New York Younkee are in the toughest period the coacher never criticize the players.He only encouraged them and built their confidence but not to destroy them.But when the team is losedthe coacher say:you are lazyyou should win them 80 but not 50.
2.Trust:winning managers trust the judgementcompetence and integrity of their subordinates:
P&G belives people are 100% good.
